Newtown Stage Company Presents Mean Girls: High School Version Featuring Local Teens

NEWTOWN, CT — This weekend, Newtown Stage Company invites audiences to experience the fierce, funny, and unforgettable world of Mean Girls: High School Version, directed by Katie Bloom (of Monroe) with musical direction by Kelly Burger and choreography by Erin Loucks and Angelina D’Albero. Performers in grades 8–12 from Newtown, Monroe, Danbury, Brookfield, and beyond bring this cult‑favorite story to life with powerhouse vocals, show‑stopping dance numbers, and nonstop energy on stage.

With a PG‑13 rating, this production is perfect for older kids, teens, and adults, especially those who grew up quoting the iconic film. The show runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes, which includes a 15-minute intermission, and promises to be a bold, vibrant theater experience that blends style and polish with the raw excitement of rising young talent.

Featured Castmembers include: Amelia Nash as Cady Heron, Elizabeth Collins as Regina George, Gabriella DiNicola as Gretchen Wieners, Sara McGann‑Berman as Karen Smith, Ryan Sokira (of Monroe) as Damian Hubbard, Olivia Grasso as Janis Sarkisian, Kevin Gray as Aaron, Jake Golesky as Kevin G and Roslyn Castaldi as Mrs. George in addition to 40 more talented teens from surrounding towns. This production includes a dedicated creative and technical team with stage management by Tyler Violette (assisted by Cassidy Bloom (of Monroe) and Leah Crebbin), costumes by Dawn Field and Kristen Castaldi, lighting by Paul Merchant and Lindsay Hayes, and sets by Maren Leyva. This production is co-produced by NSCo. Co-founders Erin Loucks, Ryan Loucks, and Katie Bloom, and is sure to be SO FETCH!

Performance Dates are Thursday, August 1 at 7:00 PM, Friday, August 2 at 1:00 PM & 7:00 PM and Saturday, August 3 at 1:00 PM. Tickets are $20 per ticket, and seating is reserved.
