Meineke Car Care Center Employee Stole Business Check to Pay Her Rent: Police
Monroe police said a Meineke Car Care Center employee stole a business check that was fraudulently made out for over $4,000 for her rent.

Monroe, CT — Monroe police said they received a complaint in April from the owner of Meineke Car Care Center of a reported stolen business check that was fraudulently made out for over $4,000.
Through a police investigation, officers said they learned that a Meineke employee, Kimberly Payne, stole the check to pay her rent.
Kimberly Payne, 34, of Terryville, was arrested on June 8, 2016 at Meineke Car Care Center and charged with second degree forgery and third degree criminal attempt to commit larceny, police said.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Payne who turned herself into police on Wednesday for the above charges. Payne was released after posting a $1,000.
