• Monroe Planning and Zoning Commission to allow commercial kennels in an industrial zone (themonroesun.com) — Monroe’s Planning and Zoning Commission has changed its regulations to allow commercial kennels in the Industrial-2 zone, clearing the way for a proposed pet daycare and boarding facility on Enterprise Drive. The unanimous vote supports a new Tails of Comfort Pet Resort location while keeping kennels out of residential areas, and commission leaders were also reappointed for the year.
