Monroe Averaging 11 New Coronavirus Cases Daily: First Selectman

MONROE, CT — Monroe is averaging about 11 new coronavirus cases per day, according to First Selectman Ken Kellogg, who urges residents to be safe during holiday gatherings with family and friends.
Kellogg issued an update Thursday on the town's COVID-19 situation, and also recommended that residents get vaccinated and/or receive a booster shot.

unvaccinated individuals, who represent 76 percent of the currently hospitalized cases," Kellogg wrote. "Data indicate that the greatest protection appears to result after receiving full vaccination and the booster dose. We continue to offer booster dose appointments each week. Signup is on our website and opens every Friday at noon."
