Monroe Bank Robbery: Descriptions Of Suspect, Getaway Car Released
UPDATE: Preliminary descriptions of the suspect and getaway vehicle are beginning to emerge.

MONROE, CT — Police are investigating a bank robbery on Rte. 25 in Monroe at the Newtown Savings Bank, according to police. There will be a noticeable police presence in the area.
Police say the suspect was wearing dark clothing and a baseball hat. A white woman driving a newer model four-door Honda Civic picked up the suspect and left the scene, police said.

This is the second reported bank robbery on Rte. 25 in Monroe in the past 30 days. An armed man in a sling robbed the People's Bank on Rte. 25 on Sept. 14.
Police announced the robbery just after 10:30 a.m. Friday morning.
