MONROE, CT — Police are investigating a bank robbery on Rte. 25 in Monroe at the Newtown Savings Bank, according to police. There will be a noticeable police presence in the area. Police say the suspect was wearing dark clothing and a baseball hat. A white woman driving a newer model four-door Honda Civic picked up the suspect and left the scene, police said.
