MONROE, CT — Monroe firefighters battled a blaze on Monday that left a kitchen heavily damaged, the Connecticut Post reports..Volunteer firefighters from Monroe, Stevenson and Stepney fire departments responded to the 8 a.m. fire on Hillside Lane.The paper reported that none of the residents of the home or any of the firefighters were injured.
