Monroe Man Accused Of Providing Narcotics In Overdose Death: Police

Police in Milford said evidence showed the Monroe man had provided the narcotics to the victim, which later caused his death.

MILFORD, CT – Jesse Gray, 46, of Monroe, has been accused of providing narcotics to a man, leading to the man’s death, police said.

At around 6:45 a.m. on July 16, officers responded to a Hawley Avenue residence for a report of an unresponsive man and woman, police said.

When officers arrived, members of the Milford Fire Department were attempting to resuscitate the woman, police said.

The woman was administered Narcan and transported to an area hospital for treatment. The man died at the scene, police said. Police have not released the name of the man.

Police said they began an investigation into the man's death. It was determined that the man died from an overdose of drugs, and a suspect was developed and identified as Gray, police said.

Evidence showed that Gray provided the narcotics to the victim, which later caused his death, police said.

An arrest warrant was submitted and issued by Milford Superior Court, police said.

Gray was arrested at his residence and charged with illegal distribution of narcotics, police said.

Gary was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on Oct. 3.
