Monroe Man Charged with Failure to Pay Wages: Report
Police said an altercation occurred after contractors demanded the Monroe man pay their back wages, according to a report.
Monroe, CT — A Monroe man was charged on Wednesday on a 2008 warrant alleging failure to pay wages to contractors, according to The Hour.
Panagiotis Konstantinidis, 36, of Monroe, went to Norwalk police headquarters on Wednesday for a records request when he was arrested on an outstanding warrant, the report stated.
According to The Hour, two contractors came to police headquarters and said that one Konstantanidis’ family paid them with two bad checks for $480 and $2,000 and each had a stop payment on them. The contractors later had an altercation with Konstantinis who police said grabbed one worker by the neck.
Konstantinidiswas charged with failure to pay wages, issued a $3,500 bond and given a court date of July 14.
