Monroe Police Arrest East Haven Man for Burglary of a Vacant House
An East Haven man was arrested and his accomplice is still at large, according to Monroe police.

Monroe, CT — Monroe police arrested an East Haven man on June 28, 2016 after a report of two men attempting to break into a vacant residence on Hammertown Road, according to Lieutenant Stephen Corrone of the Monroe Police Department.
The Monroe Police Department responded to a residence on Hammertown Road on June 2, 2016 for the report of two males entering a vacant home. When the homeowner arrived, the two men fled on foot leaving their vehicle behind, police said.
Lt. Corrone said that officers searched the area for the two suspects, but were unable to locate them. Monroe police seized the vehicle and found a pellet rifle, hack saws, bolt cutters, and other miscellaneous tools associated with burglary, police said.

Police got an arrest warrant for Wayne Lindberg of East Haven and on June 28 arrested him for having weapons in a motor vehicle, third degree criminal attempt to commit burglary, possession of burglary tools and third degree criminal trespassing.
He was held and later released on a $25,000 bond.

Police said that the second party involved in the crime is unknown at is asking anyone with information concerning the suspect’s identity to contact Det. Muccioli at (203) 261-3622.
