Businesses can earn state tax credits by donating to Monroe programs including Project Warmth, Food Pantry and EMS.

MONROE, CT — Businesses in Monroe may qualify for state corporate tax credits by donating to three local programs approved under Connecticut’s 2025 Neighborhood Assistance Act.

First Selectman Terrence Rooney announced Friday that Project Warmth, the Monroe Food Pantry and Monroe Emergency Medical Services have been authorized by the state Department of Revenue Services to receive contributions through the program.

The initiative allows businesses to earn a 60 percent credit on approved donations. Project Warmth and the Monroe Food Pantry are eligible for up to $25,000 each, while Monroe Emergency Medical Services can receive up to $20,000. The minimum contribution to qualify is $250.
