MONROE, CT — A Monroe woman won big with a Connecticut Lottery scratch-off game she purchased in Newtown.

The lucky winner, identified only as "Sherril P" by the state's gamemasters, picked up the winning card at the Stop & Shop at 228 South Main Street on Tuesday. She played "Fast Play — $10 Stacks of Cash Progressive," which paid out $158,025.
