MONROE, CT — A winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was recently sold in Monroe, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

A Monroe resident, who wished to remain anonymous, won $50,000 on a Powerball ticket that was sold at Fm One Stop at 447 Monroe Turnpike, according to Lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
