Monroe’s Weekend Weather and What to Expect on Halloween

After dealing with some wintry precipitation and heavy rain, Mother Nature changes it up this weekend. BREAKING

MONROE, CT — We saw some snowflakes, sleet and a lot of rain Thursday in Connecticut and as a reward for dealing with all of that, the weekend weather is much warmer and overall pretty good too. Even your trick-or-treat forecast Monday looks pretty good, though it will be chilly around 5 p.m. with temps falling back into the 40s. But most importantly it will be dry.

The weekend forecast looks pretty good but there could be some rain showers Sunday afternoon and evening. If you jump ahead several days we’re approaching the upper 60s and sunshine on Wednesday. WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons sums it all up this way, “A chilly wind expected with dry weather all day today. High temperatures in the 40s to around 50°. Dry for Friday evening football games. All of Saturday looks to be OK with sun and clouds. Expect a little bit of light rain late Sunday after 4 PM. And no problems for Halloween 2016!”
