Obituary: Judith Elmendorf, 83, Of Monroe

MONROE, CT — Judith Elmendorf, 83, of Monroe, formerly of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Aug. 17, 2023. She is the beloved wife of Donald Elmendorf.

Judy was a legal secretary for many area offices prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and playing bridge. She will be remembered for hosting her cookouts and family picnics. Judy inspired her kids with her strong work ethic and yet, she never missed a game or school program, always being the first to mother to cheer on her children in whatever they did.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Donald, Jr. and his wife Jo Ann, Mark and his wife Eileen, and her daughter Susan Cunningham. She was the proud grandmother to: Raymond, Shannon, Kelsey, Julia, Sara, Kauri, Ashleigh, Stephanie, Brendan, and Jonathan. She was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Braydan and Reilly.

Friends and Family may visit on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home; 39 South Benson Rd. Fairfield, CT. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
