When she was age 50, Diane started her own church, Word of God Christian Church, affiliated with Faith Christian Fellowship in Tulsa, OK. She was a true woman of faith, running the church with her son Bill, who is also a minister, and her daughter-in-law, Teresa, for 25 years, first in her living room and then for most of those years at the Jennings School in Fairfield. She was a devoted teacher of God’s Word and faithful believer in divine healing.
Diane made lifelong friends with her fellow pastors and also with the wonderful and generous people in her congregation. The church was truly her extended family and there were many joyous services, picnics and celebrations throughout the years. She loved great meals and fellowship with family and friends at her favorite restaurants. She always said she did not cook, but made reservations!
