A motorist was injured in the collision of two vehicles early Saturday in Monroe.

MONROE, CT — A motorist was injured in the collision of two vehicles early Saturday in Monroe, the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department has reported on social media.
Around 5:15 a.m., first responders were called to the site of a two-car collision at Purdy Hill Road and Joan Drive. One of the drivers required extrication by the firefighters and was transported to the hospital by Monroe EMS.
