Perillo And Scott Honor Monroe Police During Appreciation Week
Sen. Perillo and Rep. Scott recognize Monroe police with pastries during Police Appreciation Week to thank officers for their service.

MONROE, CT — In recognition of Police Appreciation Week, State Sen. Jason Perillo, R-Shelton, and State Rep. Tony Scott, R-Monroe, visited the Monroe Police Department to deliver fresh pastries and express gratitude to local law enforcement.
Joined by Monroe First Selectman Terry Rooney, the legislators met with Capt. Smith, Chief White, and Sgt. DeCarli to thank officers for their continued service to the community.
“Police officers' commitment to keeping us safe is the foundation of our community's well-being,” Perillo said. “This is a simple but meaningful way to show our appreciation for the sacrifices our officers make.”

Scott added, “This is a small token of appreciation to show our ongoing support for the men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line every day.”
Police Appreciation Week, observed nationally from May 11 to 17, highlights the service and sacrifices of law enforcement officers across the United States.
