Piano Teacher Accused of Sexually Abusing 2 Monroe Girls Pleads Guilty: Report

When one Monroe girl asked him to stop touching her, he blamed his Italian heritage as to why he did it, according to the affidavit.

Monroe, CT — A Monroe man who is facing charges of alleged sexual abuse of two Monroe girls has pleased guilty, according to a report on the Connecticut Post.

Bruce Bean Connery, 68, of Greenwood Lane in Monroe, pleaded guilty Thursday to risk of injury to a minor and reckless endangerment of a 10-year-old and a 16-year-old, the report said.

Connery pleaded guilty under the Alfred Doctrine and will receive a three-year suspended term when he is sentenced on July 22, according to the report. Connery will also have to register as a sex offender, the Post reported.
