Pickup Truck Crashes Due To ‘Serious Black Ice Conditions’ In Monroe

A pickup truck crashed into a utility pole late Tuesday night in Monroe, according to fire officials.

MONROE, CT — A pickup truck crashed into a utility pole after sliding out of control due to “serious black ice conditions,” late Tuesday night in Monroe, according to fire officials.

Crews responded to the 400-500 block of Pepper Street for the crash, according to a post on the Stepney Fire Department’s Facebook page.

The driver was checked out by Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service, according to the post.
