
Police arrested the driver of a 2010 Toyota Matrix for DUI at around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 after an officer saw her allegedly fail to heed the stop sign at the intersection of Route 110 and Moose Hill Road as she headed east on 110.
Amy Lemar, 23, of Woods Way in Woodbury was charged with DUI and failure to obey a stop sign and released on $150 bond for a Dec. 30 court date.

The officer who made the traffic stop detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Lemar's breath, police said, adding Lemar's speech was slurred and her eyes were glassy.
Lemar told the officer she had been hanging out with friends in Monroe and had one beer, according to the report.

Field sobriety tests determined Lemar was under the influence and she was placed under arrest, police said. At headquarters, police said breath test results indicated Lemar's blood alcohol level was over the legal limit.
