Reminder: 45th Annual Strawberry Fest is This Weekend!

Monroe Congregational Church will hold their 45th Annual Strawberry Festival on the Monroe Green on June 18 and June 19.

MONROE, CT — The Monroe Congregational Church presents the 45th Annual Strawberry Festival on the Monroe Green on June 18 and June 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dozens of church members will hand-pick fresh strawberries on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to be used for mouthwatering strawberry shortcakes, whole berry pies, chocolate dipped sweets, jams and smoothies for sale. Special strawberry souvenir items will also be available.

The church will also serve up hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers and more.

There will be games for children, a dunking booth and live entertainment from local bands and dance troupes, throughout the weekend as well as more than one hundred juried crafters and fine artists.

There is no admission fee and parking is free. The festival is located on the Monroe Green and the adjacent grounds of the Monroe Congregational Church at the intersection of Route 111 and Church St. Call the church at 203-268-9327 weekdays for further information.
