Right At Home In Home Care & Assistance celebrated the expansion of its office space on the second floor of 518 Monroe Turnpike with a "re-grand opening" Thursday night. The Monroe Chamber of Commerce organized a ribbon cutting ceremony in which First Selectman Steve Vavrek did the honors with an oversized pair of scissors.
Tim Randall and his wife Lisa own the business together.
"We've had the space over there for a year," Tim Randall said, motioning toward the original space. "We've been growing quite a bit here, expanding with more caregivers to fill our clients' needs across greater Fairfield County."
Inside the Monroe building, Right At Home now takes up nearly the entire second floor, with the exception of an area used by a masseuse.
Xiomara Perez, an office manager for Right At Home, uses most of the new space with a large office.
"She just moved into this office to interview and train caregivers — to get younger caregivers up to speed," Randall explained.
He said Right At Home had only moved into its new space 10 days ago.
While Right At Home's primary business is catering to the needs of the senior population, Randall said it also offers other programs, including DMR (Department of Mental Retardation) programs for children and adults.
