State DOT Schedules Traffic Signal Upgrades In Monroe

A state contractor has been authorized to begin traffic signal safety and technology enhancements work in Monroe.

MONROE, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has notified town officials that a state contractor has been authorized to begin traffic signal safety and technology enhancements work in Monroe.

The project involves removing the nighttime flashing operation, installation of vehicle detection, and replacing traffic controllers at the following three intersections:

  • Route 25 (Main Street) at Pepper Street and Corporate Drive
  • Route 25 (Main Street) at Victoria Drive
  • Route 111 (Monroe Turnpike) at Stop & Shop and Reda Center
