Virginia May Stowe, 93, died June 3, 2025; a retired quality control technician, she spent decades gardening, watching UConn women’s basketball, collecting cardinals, spoons, bells, and floral plates, enjoying bingo and country music, and taking scenic drives and vacations across the U.S.

Mary Ann Csire, 79, died May 29, 2025; she worked as a pharmaceutical technician and holiday gift wrapper, served in the Stepney Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and Monroe Republican Women’s Club, enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sports, fantasy football, trips to Aruba, and time with her grandchildren and cat.

Patrick James Matera, 93, died May 18, 2025; a U.S. Army veteran and longtime accounting manager at Harvey Hubbell, he taught Junior Achievement, enjoyed cards, puzzles, golf, and bowling, and was an usher at St. Stephen Church and founding member of the St. Jude Pope John XXIII Knights of Columbus Council.

Angela Barberio, 89, died May 16, 2025; a former seamstress and longtime employee of Vishay Corporation, she enjoyed daily walks, cooking for her family, sewing into her 80s, and was known for her warmth, energy, and willingness to help others.

Sister Rita Wasilewski, CSFN, 90, died Apr. 29, 2025; in her 75th year of religious life, she served as a teacher, social worker, and administrator in schools and child care programs across New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, and held degrees in education and social work.
