Due to a sudden and unforeseen disturbance in the water system, some customers may be experiencing temporary discoloration. The discoloration has continued to move to dead end streets. Aquarion crews are in the process of flushing these streets. The discoloration is unrelated to our ongoing water main replacement project as these new water mains are still under construction and not in service. The most likely cause of the discoloration is an opened hydrant or fire suppression system test that occurred without Aquarion knowledge.

Please be advised this concern does not affect those homeowners that receive water from private wells.
