Three Monroe Stores Sold Tobacco To Minors: Police
Police conducted supervised compliance checks at 16 stores in Monroe.

MONROE, CT — Three local stores were fined after police said they sold tobacco to a minor employed by the state's Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program, police announced Friday. The Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program, conducted sixteen unannounced compliance inspections of establishments that sell tobacco products in Monroe. on Oct. 17, police posted on Facebook.
The following three stores were found in violation:
- Mobil, 405 Monroe Turnpike
- Buck Stop, 456 Main St.
- Cumberland Farms, #455 Main St.
The clerks were given a $200 fine.
