Trumbull Resident Becomes CFJ Board Chair

We at The Center for Family Justice are excited to welcome Sofia De Carvalho as our new Board of Directors Chairperson.

Sofia, who also serves as Bilingual Vice President at M&T Bank, succeeds outgoing chairperson Matt Reale. Sofia has been involved with CFJ since 2014, most recently as Board Vice Chair.

Sofia has already done an incredible amount of work for CFJ and its clients.

She organizes Festival of Hope, a fundraiser held in Trumbull each May, and she tri-chairs our biggest annual fundraiser, Speaking of Women, in September.

Sofia truly believes in making her community better, and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

We are grateful to Sofia for taking on this responsibility, and for her continued support over the past decade.

Among CFJ's new slate of officers is Vice Chair Kristin Okesson and Treasurer Michael Lyngaas. Scott Redfern is returning as CFJ Board Secretary. Thanks to all for your hard work!
