Where To See Santa In Monroe This Christmas Season

MONROE, CT — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Monroe families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

In and around Monroe, kids have several chances:

Both Santa and Mrs. Claus will pay a visit to the Monroe Town Hall gazebo, 7 Fan Hill Road, on Saturday, Dec. 2. The Monroe Women’s Club is hosting its 20th annual Christmas Tree Lighting at 5 p.m. The rain date is Dec. 3. Entertainment will be provided by the Masuk Choir and Band and the Harmony on the Sound Chorus.

At Danbury Fair Mall, Santa is located at Center Court.

On Dec. 2, Santa will arrive via fire truck parade at the CityCenter Green at 1 Ives Street for the Light The Lights Winter Festival 2023. The event is from 3 to 7 p.m.

Meet Santa Claus at Stew Leonard's at either the Danbury or Norwalk location, throughout December.

Santa will be sitting for photos at Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, through Christmas Eve.

Santa will also be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Orlando. In Connecticut, Macy's has locations in Stamford, Trumbull, Danbury, Milford, Manchester and Farmington.

JC Penney stores, including stores in Trumbull, Danbury, Waterbury, Manchester, Farmington and Waterford, are offering professional portraits with Santa through Dec. 18.

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Locally, Cabela's has a store in East Hartford at 475 East Hartford Boulevard. Reservations are encouraged.
