New Details For Wiffle Ball Fun Day In Monroe Sept. 25: Update

The second annual event will benefit the Monroe Food Pantry.

MONROE, CT — Monroe will host the 2nd Annual Wiffle Ball Fun Day at Wolfe Park on Sept. 25, according to organizers.

The cost of participating in the event is $60 per team, or $10 per individual; the proceeds will benefit the Monroe Food Pantry.

The Monroe Food Pantry Wiffle® Ball Fun Day will have round-robin team tournaments, longest hit contests, and pitching contests by the following age groups:

  • Grades 1-3
  • Grades 4-5
  • Grades 6-7-8
  • Adult: High School and above

The cost to register a team to compete in the tournament is a $60 donation to the Monroe Food Pantry. There will be 5/6 players on team with 4 on the field at a time. Individuals can sign up by donating $10 to the Monroe Food Pantry. Registrations with payment must be received no later than September 1st.

People can also just stop in to compete in the Longest Hit and Pitching Contests. Participating in these contests is free, however, donations are appreciated.

Gift card awards donated by Monroe businesses will be given to:

  • Tournament League Champions
  • Tournament Participation Drawing Winner amongst the other teams in each league.
  • Longest Hit Champs by age group
  • Throwing Contest Champs by age group
