Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Monroe

A Fairfield resident is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

MONROE, CT — A Fairfield resident is $10,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased in Monroe, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, Dylon W. claimed a winning 20X Cash 9th Edition ticket that was bought at Monroe Highmart on Main Street.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $20 per ticket, began in October, and as of Tuesday, 145 grand prizes of $20,000 remained unclaimed, and 30 unclaimed second-place prizes of $10,000.

More than 2.8 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.
