Woman Crashed Into Pole, Fled Scene in Monroe: Report
Police say the woman crashed into a pole on Rte. 34.

MONROE, CT — A West Haven woman was arrested after she allegedly hit a telephone pole on Oct. 14, reports the Monroe Courier. Police said Maria Ramirez, 26, fled the scene after lost control of her car on Rte. 34.
Police responding to the scene found the car, but Ramirez was no there. Police were led to Ramirez's address, where she admitted leaving the scene.
A canine unit was used to search for the driver.
