Mohegan Sun Arena Tops 2026 List Of Best Casino Concert Venues

UNCASVILLE, CT — Mohegan Sun Arena has been named the No. 1 “Best Casino Concert Venue” in Newsweek’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, the casino announced this week.

The 10,000-seat venue hosts more than 125 concerts and sporting events each year and has become a major stop for national touring acts. Newsweek’s annual awards are based on a four-week voting period that includes input from readers and industry experts.

“Earning the #1 spot for ‘Best Casino Concert Venue’ and ranking near the top in two other categories is an incredible honor,” said Jeff Hamilton, Mohegan Sun president and general manager, in the release. He added that the recognition reflects the work of staff across the property.

Mohegan Sun also placed in two additional Newsweek categories, earning No. 2 for “Best Native American Casino” and No. 2 for “Best Casino Players Club” for its Momentum program.

The arena’s recent schedule has included shows by Justin Timberlake, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Matt Rife, and Bonnie Raitt. Adam Sandler performed two sold-out shows in September and was inducted into the Mohegan Sun Arena Walk of Fame. Netflix also filmed a special episode of "My Next Guest with David Letterman" during Sandler’s visit.

Mohegan, the parent company of Mohegan Sun, was separately named to Forbes’ America’s Best-in-State Companies list for 2026. The ranking evaluates financial performance, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and growth across more than 50,000 businesses nationwide.
