47-Year-Old Of Naugatuck, 1st In Women's Division Of St. Pat’s 5K Race

Katey Baruth led the women's division, completing the 10th annual 'Path to The Parade' 5K Run/Walk fundraiser course in 21:31.

NEW HAVEN, CT — More than 100 runners and walkers participated in the 'Path to The Parade' 5K Run/Walk on the Farmington Canal.

Now in its 10th year, the fundraiser is spearheaded by Branford resident and marathon guru, John Tolbert, who created the event to benefit the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The 2025 St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set for Sunday, March 16.

First over the finish line was 14-year-old North Haven resident Dimitry Komanetsky, who completed the course in 18:48.

Katey Baruth, 47, of Naugatuck, led the women’s division, completing the course in 21:31.

The Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade is Connecticut’s largest, free single day spectator event, attracting thousands of people to the streets of New Haven each year. The parade is a long-standing tradition in the New Haven community, and the members of the Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day parade committee volunteer to ensure the tradition continues.
