Beloved Pub Closing After More Than 5 Years In Naugatuck
The owners said the decision to close "was not made lightly" and invited customers to join them to raise a glass during their final weeks.
NAUGATUCK, CT — The owners of Tuck's Tavern, a popular pub where customers can enjoy a drink or catch a game in a home-like environment, announced Monday the bar will permanently close next month after more than five years in business.
In a message posted to their Facebook page, the "Tuck's Family" confirmed the tavern, located at 876 Rubber Avenue in Naugatuck, will close its doors for good Feb. 13.
The owners noted the decision to close was not made lightly and expressed deep gratitude for the countless memories they have shared with their customers in Naugatuck over the years.

"From the regulars who've become like family, to the newcomers who've made Tuck's their home, we have been incredibly fortunate to be part of your lives," the post reads. "The laughter, the stories, the celebrations, and even the quiet moments – each one has meant the world to us."
Established in 2019, Tuck's Tavern serves a menu of "pub grub," as well as a wide variety of beers and other beverages.

The owners thanked customers for their "unwavering support" and for choosing to spend their time at Tuck's.
"Although this chapter of our lives is closing, we leave with full hearts and memories that will last a lifetime," the owners said on Facebook.
In comments on the post, customers lamented the loss of Tuck's Tavern. Many noted it has become their favorite place in town and shared memories of the food, drinks and friendly atmosphere they have enjoyed there over the years.
One commenter even counted their wedding reception among the numerous great memories they enjoyed at the tavern.
The owners invited customers, both regular and new, to join them at the tavern during their final weeks "to raise a glass, share a meal and reminisce about the good times" they have shared together thus far.
"Thank you again for the memories, the laughter, and the friendship," the owners wrote. "You will always have a special place in our hearts."
