Dog Possibly Dumped Near Naugatuck Dog Park Sought By Animal Control

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” Animal Control is asking for help locating or obtaining more information about a dog possibly dumped near a Naugatuck dog park Monday night.

Animal Control officials said on Facebook they have received a number of messages about a female mixed breed possibly being dumped in the area of a dog park on Andrew Mountain Road.

The dog was spotted again Tuesday morning on someone's porch, however the animal took off when approached, according to Animal Control.

Animal Control asked the dog's owner to contact them as soon as possible to let them know if the dog is already home safe or, if not, so they can help find her.

"If this dog was sadly dumped, please report any sightings so we can try and get her to us safely," Animal Control officials said on Facebook. "Please do not chase. If we get enough sightings, we can get in touch with the necessary resources."
