NAUGATUCK, CT β€” Police have released a list of roads closed Friday in Naugatuck for Halloween trick-or-treating festivities.

According to a news release provided by the department, the Millville neighborhood is famous for its Halloween displays, which typically attracts large crowds.

"The more drivers aware of the below closures the better," police said in a news release.

To ensure a safe and fun night for all trick-or-treaters in Naugatuck, the following roads will be closed to through traffic on Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. during Halloween festivities:

  • Millville Ave – from Hoadley/North Hoadley Street to Walnut Street
  • Millville Ave to Chestnut Street
  • Chestnut Street – from North Hoadley to Park Street
  • Fern, Quinn, Park, and May Streets – will all be closed
  • Cliff Street (one-way section) – from Walnut to Fairview Street
  • Walnut Street – closed at Walnut Terrace
  • Quinn Street – closed at Surrey Drive

"As always, we expect large crowds of trick-or-treaters in this area, with hundreds of visitors enjoying the nights festivities and amazing Millville decor," police said. "We encourage everyone to plan ahead and take it slow through neighborhood streets. Officers will be out in the Millville area helping guide traffic and keep trick-or-treaters safe so everyone can enjoy a fun and worry-free Halloween night."
