Name of the nominee:
Eli Torres

Name of the person who nominated the hero:
Erika Burnham

Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?:
Yes

What does the nominee do for work?:
LPN

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
For the entire time we've been together (25 years), he has tirelessly taken care of me and our amazing 3 kids. He sometimes works 7 days a week with no breaks, to provide for us. Two years ago he underwent the first of two open heart surgeries, only to come home and quickly recover so he could get back to work to continue to take care of us.

With him being high-risk himself, he continues to work with patients who have tested positive for Covid-19, sleeping in our basement, because he doesn't want to take the chance of infecting us (we are all at high-risk, also).

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
You will never meet a more selfless, nicer guy!

Thank you Eli for all that you do!
