Kitten Left On Trail At State Park In Naugatuck Rescued From Tree: Animal Control
Animal Control officials said they had reason to believe someone left the kitten on the trail, which was scared by a dog and ran up a tree.

NAUGATUCK, CT β A frightened kitten believed to have been left on a trail at a state park in Naugatuck was rescued from a tree Monday, according to animal control.
In a post on the Naugatuck Animal Control Facebook page, officials said they had reason to believe someone left the female kitten on the Larkin State Bridle Trail.
Hikers spotted the kitten and called animal control for help, however the animal ran up a tree before they arrived after being scared by a dog, according to animal control.

Naugatuck firefighters helped safely remove the kitten from the tree, and the animal is now with the Halfway Home Rescue Inc. animal shelter, where she will "get the care needed and then placed for adoption when she's ready," according to animal control.
