Man Drowns In Waterbury Reservoir Over Weekend: PD
The victim was a 30-year-old male, according to police.
WATERBURY, CT — A 30-year-old man drowned in the East Mountain Reservoir Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Officer Nyjah Porcher said police were summoned to the scene around 4:22 p.m. on a report of a swimmer going under the water and not resurfacing.
Waterbury fire and emergency medical personnel, and the Region 5 Dive Team also responded to the reservoir, at 99 East Mountain Rd., to help with the search and rescue efforts.

The man was recovered from the water and taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said.
Police did not yet release the man’s identity.

Police are working with the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the investigation, which is ongoing.
