Man Injures Legs In 32-Foot Drop While Fleeing Waterbury Cops: PD
The jump happened after police tried to pull over the suspect's vehicle, according to police.
WATERBURY, CT β A man injured both of his legs when he jumped and dropped 32-feet in an effort to elude police Friday, police said.
Dayshaun Anthony Nolberto, 30, of Waterbury, required treatment at a local hospital and is facing multiple charges, according to Sgt. Joseph Morais.
The incident happened Friday around 4:25 p.m.

Police were conducting traffic enforcement when they observed a red Honda CR-V bearing a fraudulent marker plate, according to police.
Officers tried to pull the Honda over, but the operator, Nolberto, fled at a high rate of speed, police said.

Officers did not attempt to pursue the Honda, which later lost control and struck a street sign, according to police.
Nolberto exited the vehicle and fled on foot, and that is when he was injured βwhile jumping down a 32-foot drop,β police said. Officers apprehended him shortly afterward.
Police said Nolberto had several outstanding warrants.
For Fridayβs incident, he was charged with interfering with an officer, possession of more than one half ounce of cannabis, engaging police in pursuit, operating with a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, insufficient insurance, improper use of marker plates, failure to obey a traffic signal, failure to drive in the proper lane, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
