Naugatuck Restaurant Closing, Offers 'Heartfelt Farewell' To Customers
The owners of Pura Vida recently announced the Costa Rican restaurant is closing "after two wonderful years" in Naugatuck.
NAUGATUCK, CT — Pura Vida, a Costa Rican restaurant located on Rubber Avenue, announced over the weekend the restaurant is closing "after two wonderful years" in Naugatuck.
In a Facebook post Sunday, the Pura Vida team offered "a heartfelt farewell" to the customers who have supported their business over the past couple of years.
"This journey has been filled with incredible memories, delicious meals, and, most importantly, the support of our amazing customers," the post reads. "To everyone who dined with us, shared a meal, or simply supported us from afar – thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your loyalty, love, and encouragement have meant the world to us, and we are forever grateful for the community we've built together."

Pura Vida offered customers "a taste of Costa Rica's bounty" and featured a menu of appetizers such as chicharones, gallos and empanadas, as well as entrées such as Costa Rican tacos, arroz con pollo and casado, a traditional Costa Rican dish consisting of rice, eggs, black beans, ensalada rusa, plantains and a choice of protein.
The restaurant also offered a breakfast menu and a number of dessert and beverage options.

The Pura Vida team emphasized a passion for "showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Costa Rica" as their chefs combine "traditional recipes with fresh, locally sourced ingredients" to bring customers authentic flavors that define Costa Rican dining, according to the restaurant's website.
"While this chapter comes to an end, the memories we've made will last forever," the post reads. "We hope to see you again someday, in another chapter, in another way. With endless gratitude."
