Parcel C Redevelopment Plans On Track After Closing: Report
The closing occurred last week and a groundbreaking should occur soon.

NAUGATUCK, CT β It's official John Lombard and Robert Oris are now the owners of Parcel C after paying $150,000 for the property, My Citizen's News reports. The 2.1 acre parcel is located at Maple and Water streets and the project is expected to be anchored by Saint Mary's Hospital 30,000-square-foot medical building and a 5,000-square-foot restaurant, My Citizen's News reports.
The project has been held up as the land needed an environmental cleanup and the zoning commission had questions about the materials being used for the exterior of the building. Also state approvals were needed.
Now the project is a 100 percent go, and officials say a groundbreaking could occur soon. Mayor Pete Hess credited former Mayor Robert Mezzo and the Naugatuck Economic Development Corp. for doing the heavy lifting on the Parcel C development.
