Parents Charged After Toddler Suffers Third-Degree Burns: Reports
The pair — Keturah Williams, 36, and Damon Martin, 51 — were arrested in Waterbury and are facing charges including cruelty.

WATERBURY, CT — A mother and stepfather turned themselves in to Waterbury police Tuesday after being accused of leaving their toddler unattended before he rolled onto a heating device and suffered second and third-degree burns, according to multiple reports.
The pair — Keturah Williams, 36, and Damon Martin, 51 — are facing charges of risk of injury/ impairing morals of a child and cruelty to persons, FOX61 reported. Williams was held on a $75,000 bond and Martin was held on a $150,000 bond pending their arraignment Tuesday.
Investigators say the child rolled off a bed and wedged between the wall and the bed while lying on a hot electric heating element, according to WTNH and FOX61.

The child, as well as two other children also removed from the home, are in the custody of the Department of Children and Families pending the investigation, both outlets reported.
