Restaurant Closing Naugatuck Location, Plans To Reopen In New Space

Garlic Restaurant, an eatery specializing in Latin American cuisine, plans to permanently close its current location in the coming days.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Garlic Restaurant, an eatery specializing in Latin American quick bites and small plates, plans to permanently close its current Naugatuck location in the coming days.

The owners announced Monday on Facebook the restaurant's current location at 664 Rubber Avenue will close for good Saturday after serving customers in Naugatuck and surrounding towns for three years.

"Thank you for being part of this dream and for supporting us through these years," the post reads. "Thanks for letting us share with you our culture and flavors."

The owners also encouraged customers to "stay tuned for our new location." Further details were not provided in the post.

"We invite you to join us in our last week," the post reads. "We would love to see you before we close our doors on Feb. 1."

The closure marks the second popular Rubber Avenue restaurant to announce plans to close this week.

On Monday, the owners of Tuck's Tavern at 876 Rubber Avenue announced their popular pub will permanently close its doors Feb. 13 after after more than five years in business.
