NAUGATUCK, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes

Yes

What does the nominee do for work?:
She is a CNA (nursing home)

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
She goes above and beyond for anyone she knows including strangers she has the biggest heart in the world, if she sees someone struggling she can’t help but step in and do whatever she can to help ease the pain, anxiety and need of someone else. Whether is it giving money to someone in need on the street or buying groceries for the person in front of her whose credit card just declined, Over it’s her donating her time to sit with the elderly to keep them company after she just worked a double shift all week and doesn't have a moment for herself. For over the last 28 years of my life all I have ever seen is her putting others first. Jane is the true definition of a hero and what it means to be caring.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
She is such a caring compassionate woman there is never a single time she even hesitates to help another person, even a complete stranger.
