January 2025 Student, Teacher Of The Month Announced For Naugatuck High School

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Public Schools has announced both the student and teacher of the month for January 2025 at Naugatuck High School.

In a Facebook post Monday, district officials named junior Emily Rehm as student of the month and science teacher and department head Sarah Carpenter as teacher of the month.

According to the district, Rehm "is a student who does everything right. She has perfect attendance, works hard, is kind to others and never asks for recognition for any of it."

The district also spoke highly of Carpenter as a department head who brings a positive energy to her department.

"She loves being here and helps both teachers and students around her better," district officials said on Facebook.

District officials congratulated both Rehm and Carpenter for being exemplary members of the NHS community.
