Toddler Rescued After Head Stuck In Toilet Seat In Waterbury: FD

The fire department responded and extricated the child.

WATERBURY, CT — The fire department came to the rescue after a toddler’s head got stuck in a toilet seat Wednesday night.

Waterbury Fire Capt. Edward Partridge said the department was summoned to help a two-year-old child. A potty training seat was stuck over the toddler’s head, he said.

Rescue personnel used a pair of pliers to cut the seat off, according to Partridge.

The toddler was not injured in the incident, and there was no need for any transport or medical attention, Partridge said.
