Two Charged After Gun Fired Inside Naugatuck Residence: PD

Two residents were charged after a gun without any identifying markings was fired inside a residene, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Two Naugatuck residents were charged after at least one shot was fired inside a Galpin Street residence, according to police.

Police went to the residence on the morning of Jan. 23 after getting a call about possible shots fired. Detectives found that at least one round was discharged inside the residence.

Officers seized a 9mm handgun "ghost gun" from the residence that lacked any serial number or identifying markings, police said.

Janyla Harvey, 19, was charged with interfering with police. Additionally, she was charged with failure to appear for an unrelated case.

Calvin Hicks, 21, was charged with interfering with police.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible, police said.
