2 Killed In Overnight Shooting In Waterbury: Police

The victims were slain at a residence on Beverly Avenue, according to police.

WATERBURY, CT — Two people were fatally shot in a home on Beverly Avenue Monday night, police said.

Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo said Tuesday the shooting happened at 176 Beverly Ave. around 11 p.m. Monday.

When police arrived, they discovered two people dead from apparent gunshot wounds inside the residence, police said.

Police on Tuesday afternoon said a person of interest has been developed, and the Waterbury Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is actively working with the Watertown Police Department as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police have not yet released the names of the victims.
