Waterbury Police Investigating Video Of Man Possibly Striking Dog: PD

Police said Waterbury Animal Control has located the dog, who is receiving treatment for minor injuries.

WATERBURY, CT — Waterbury police are currently investigating a video circulating online of a man possibly striking a dog, the department announced Tuesday.

In a Facebook post, police said the video appeared to show a man striking a black and white dog.

Waterbury Animal Control located and recovered the Dachshund on Monday, and the animal is currently receiving treatment for minor injuries, according to police.

Police noted the case is "an ongoing animal abuse investigation," and anyone with information is asked to contact Waterbury Animal Control at (203) 574-6909.
